Photo Graffiti & Dirty Sanchez team up for Gumball 3000 2012

I will be joining Pritchard and Dainton on this years Gumball 3000 rally.

This years epic journey is from New York to Los Angeles, 7 days, 2 countries, 12 states, driving 3000 miles, the adventure of a lifetime! I am so pleased to have been asked to go along and photograph this amazing event!

The stop off points along the way are as follows -

Indianapolis – Indy 500
Kansas City
New Mexico
Las Vegas
Los Angeles

A crazy few months

It’s been manic, during the last few months I have presented photography seminars in Turkey, Greece, Malta and Cyprus. Following on from that I worked out in France photographing and filming kids for a Cancer charity which was really good fun and great to see some lovely kids on a good road to recovery. In between all the traveling I have shot three weddings and big bunch of studio shoots. An amazing few months and I have so much to update on the blog but just haven’t had any time at all.

Next week I’m heading over to America to cover the Gumball 3000 rally from NewYork to LA which is going to be unreal, I will definitely be keeping you up to date on a daily basis on that trip and then when I’m back I’ll be catching up on everything else and getting the blog up to date.

Off-Camera Lighting Made Simple

‘A day devoted to lighting and selling dramatic wedding and portrait images’

I will be covering a lot of ground during each day but aim to teach people that good photography come from the mind and imagination. GoonFM promo shoot

Fellowship success at Europe’s largest photography convention

Wow! I’m so excited, I was very fortunate this week and achieved my Fellowship at the SWPP convention. It means so much to me and to be one of the youngest in the Country just blows my mind. I’d like to thanks everybody on the judging panel and everybody who has helped during my photography career up until now. Thanks to all the support from my clients to, you all make it so worthwhile.

I am living the dream and love the lifestyle photography has helped me have.

Here I am shortly after going up on stage to receive my Fellowship along side other successful Fellow Roman Melnyk and Damian McGillicuddy who chaired my Panel whilst it was being judged.

This panel of portraits represents what I feel has been my transition from photographer to artist.

After ten years of practicing photography I have realised that photography comes from within.
There is no digital camera or piece of technology that can compete with our minds and our imaginations. For me discovering this has been a revelation and helped in creating my own style which is hopefully reflected here.

I like to think that I have linked photography up to my brain, my photographs are simply projections of images that started as an idea in my mind.

I try to influence myself by events that happen in my own life. I believe that if each and every photographer created images from their own mind as an artist instead of just doing what is expected of them as a photographer the industry would be a lot more interesting as a whole.

My intention as an image maker is to stop people in their tracks and make them think, photography has become so disposable in this digital age I feel it takes something different to not only interest my peers and clients but also myself.

Photography has opened my eyes to the world around me and opened my mind to accept all of the possibilities that are out there. It’s a beautiful way to express yourself and really helps develop your life.

I have been getting more and more involved in the SWPP over the last couple of years, presenting seminars and giving members days, I really like to share my ideas and hopefully teach people to learn to find the artist within themselves rather than thinking it’s all about the kit and copying the latest trends.

Becoming a Fellow would help keep me focused on my ambitions and also help me to help others discover the artist within themselves.

This is only the beginning…

Europe’s largest photography convention 2012

This years SWPP convention in London is set to be the biggest yet, I’m so excited to have been asked to present two seminars and also to be on the judging panel for the annual print competition.

Really excited to see my article printed in the Convention guide to, this years going to be bigger and better than ever before and I can’t wait.

Check out the trailer from this years Gumball 3000 rally. They have used some of my photos for the end credits on the full length movie which I’m really pleased about. There’s also a sneaky clip of me and Daint in the pool on the crazy boat we went on in Monaco. Some of my photos can be seen here.
